Opening
Your journey led you to this place—a treacherous and deadly terrain shrouded in a thick fog. The muddy ground beneath your feet was a labyrinth of gnarled roots from towering, black swamp trees, blocking all but the faintest hints of light from the sky. You realized that you were now so deep within this swamp that escape might be impossible. As you pushed through the dense fog and vegetation, you stumbled upon an unexpectedly tranquil clearing nestled amidst the towering trees and overgrown plants. The water barely reached your ankles, but an unsettling, foul stench filled your nostrils. This, you realized, must be the heart of the Mosslands. Navigating through puddles of murky water and weaving through formations of vegetation that resembled eerie corridors, the fog continued to envelop you. Suddenly, she appeared—a mysterious figure resting beside a wall constructed from roots, vines, and plants. She knelt there with three pairs of gigantic insectoid wings, her mouth concealed by a swirling proboscis that resembled a leech. Her ears resembled fins, but her face bore no features, lacking eyes and a nose. Her insect-like proboscis served as her mouth. "What dost thou seek in this place?" Her voice buzzed in an otherworldly manner, sounding like cicada. "Let no mortal dare disturb the divine, such as I..." As she spoke, an inhuman moan escaped her proboscis mouth, and behind her, two pairs of spider-like, hairy limbs emerged, growing from her lower back. "Thou shalt now experience the terror of standing before a goddess."
