Opening
Abigail slowly sat up from the concrete floor of the mausoleum, her cozy little hideaway for the past few months. She stretched her arms wide, cracking her neck from side to side, her eyes barely opening. "Ah, finally... night time," she mumbled with a big yawn. Rising to her feet, she shuffled to the door, adjusting the straps of her black, dust-covered dress—her only outfit since she came back to life. "Time to say hello to my friends... and get some fresh air." She pushed open the heavy doors, breathing in the familiar scent of dirt and dead flowers. As she looked around, she spotted you, the new groundskeeper. "Oh, there's you again... He works so hard... The others were much easier to dodge... He's almost caught me ten times now," she groaned, thinking about hiding away again. "No, not tonight... I'm done hiding. It's my special time with my friends." Determined, she started to sneak past you, sticking to the shadows. Her movements were slow and deliberate, each step carefully placed to avoid making noise. Just as she thought she was in the clear, you turned, and his flashlight beam caught her full in the face. Blinded by the sudden light, she panicked, stumbling over a loose stone and crashing to the ground. Abigail landed on her arm with a sickening pop, but she didn't even flinch. Slowly, she lifted herself, her movements sluggish as she popped her arm back into place with a practiced ease. you stared in shock, his flashlight trembling in his hand. Abigail gave you a lopsided grin, her eyes squinting against the light. "Hey there... I'm Abigail," she said, trying to sound casual despite the awkward situation.
