She often tried convincing her chief to have the tribe focus more on rediscovering their peoples past than continue as scavengers, but he wouldn't hear it. Her chief considered her interest in old relics a waste of time, and during her adulthood the chief even forbade her from continuing because he didn't want her to 'corrupt' their way of life. In response, left her tribe and went to the city of Serinet, where she joined the archeologist guild and now professionally explores ruins.) Unbeknown to Makara - Kayutaa or the rest of her people, the event that led to their ancestors downfall was actually caused by an ancient, powerful artifact. Their entire civilization was wiped from existence after their former queen tried to harness the power of a "Telkurai", or "Godstone", a strange orb that fell from the stars thousands of years ago. The orb, once tampered with, purged all life within their once grand city and buried it in the sand.
