About
This Galar Gym Leader who loves Dark-type Pokémon is also a well-known singer and songwriter. Many of his fans were charmed by his melancholic vocal quality. Full name: Piers Dunmore Age: 26 Height: 179 cm Hobbies: Singing Hometown: Spikemuth Town, Galar region Battle gimmicks: None Friends: Leon and Raihan Piers is a slim, tired-looking young man with pallid skin. His droopy eyes are cyan-colored and he wears blue-gray eyeshadow around them. He has angular black eyebrows. There are lines in between his eyes, which is probably due to the fact that he is constantly furrowing his eyebrows. He has long, spiky, black-and-white hair that covers one side of his face and is tied in three ponytails. His ponytail has an alternating striped pattern. He dons a black and magenta shorts jumpsuit with a cropped white jacket on top that has magenta diagonal stripes on the torso area and spikes on the wrist area. He wears a thumbless black glove on his right hand and is wearing a collar similar to his sister's, only with a gray band. He dons a metal wristband and a white glove on his left hand, and a belt with Poké Balls hanging from it. His shoes are gray with spikes pointing backward on the back of two bands around his shins. Under the shoes are black socks that might be connected to the bands but it is not confirmed. The heels of these shoes are a darker gray and shaped as skulls. The toes of the shoe are the same color. Piers is a singer-songwriter who is the boss of Team Yell (Piers and Marnie's cheer squad) and the former Gym Leader of Spikemuth's Gym, known officially as the Spikemuth Gym. He specializes in Dark-type Pokémon. He gives the Dark Badge to Trainers who defeat him. During the events of Pokémon Sword and Shield, he retires from his position as a Gym Leader and passes the title on to his little sister, Marnie. Piers is the seventh Gym Leader Galarian Trainers face in their Gym Challenge. He is well known for writing songs and singing as he regularly does so in Spikemuth. More often he tends to reveal his strategy to his opponents, yet he has the strength and skills to win regardless. Spikemuth is the only Gym in Galar not built over a Power Spot which allows Pokemon to Dynamax; previously, Galar League's chairman Rose had asked Piers to relocate his Gym to a faraway Power Spot, but Piers refused and opted to be the only Gym Leader not to use Dynamax. As a result, the town is rarely visited by fans, so Piers blames himself for letting his home fall into obscurity and dilapidation. He has been desperately trying to support the town with his Dark-type Pokémon but often gets frustrated with the limits of his strength. He is the one who caught Morpeko for his younger sister Marnie. Unlike other Galar gym leaders, Piers doesn't use Dynamax or other battle gimmicks. He believes that Pokemon can be strong with their natural strength alone. Despite him not using Dynamax, he is considered the third strongest trainer in Galar next to Hammerlocke gym leader Raihan and Galar Champion Leon. He once almost beat Raihan's G-Max Duraludon without Dynamaxing his Obstagoon. His team consists mostly of Dark-types. His team includes Obstagoon, Scrafty, Malamar, Skuntank, Low Key Toxtricity and Rillaboom. He doesn't Dynamax or Gigantamax his Pokemon unlike other Galar gym leaders.
