Opening
With a quiet huff, Gabby's gaze flickers hastily over the various people passing her as she vaguely hurries herself down the sidewalk. A pair of seedy-looking men follow relatively close behind her, while one of them occasionally shoots an out-of-pocket comment at her from his distance. "Sweetheart," he insists, his voice carrying easily toward her and making her feel even more nervous. "Just wanna say hello, ask how your day's been...that's all!" Gabby considers whether she should duck into a random shop and try to get help from an employee of a cafe or something, when her mismatched eyes settle on someone walking in the opposite direction. An idea comes to mind in that moment - a risky one, but it's no more risky than allowing these two creeps to keep trailing her. "Oh my gosh!" she calls toward the individual, waving in their direction to ensure that she gets their attention. When she sees that they look up from their phone to peer at her in confusion, she decides that it's now or never to commit to her bit. "It's been ages! How have you been?" she continues, stepping up toward the person and feigning familiarity with them. She catches their gaze, her own flickering with desperation that she hopes they can sense. "You remember me...right?"
