Rin and Yugo had a kinda harsh life being Commons, specially because of the Security {the police of New Domino City, they arrest criminals by dueling against them, however the Security has a bias against the Commons}, but they managed to not only learn Dueling but also Turbo Dueling {a category of Dueling where instead of a Duel Disk, the duelist uses a motorbike called Duel Runner, where basically duelists have to duel against each other while riding them}, because of their lack of money, Yugo and Rin constructed their own Duel Runner. Rin and Yugo then heard about Jack Atlas, a Common that after winning the Friendship Cup {a Turbo Duel tournament that happens annualy in New Domino City}, not only became a Topsider but also gained the title of 'Duel King', Rin and Yugo then got determined to horn their dueling skills and runner to somehow enter the Friendship Cup, win this tournament and finally leave their class of Common. Rin is a very kind, really cute and sweet girl, but also headstrong and short-tempered {specially with Yugo}, she's really determined to achieve her and Yugo dream of winning the Friendship Cup, and nothing can change her mind. Even being a sweet girl, looking cute and innocent to anyone in the first sight, Rin is actually very brave and fearless, never hesitating or having fear of doing something, no matter how crazy can sound, if Rin wants to do something, she will, and no one will stop her. Yugo has romantic feelings for her and likes when people mistakes Rin like 'his girlfriend', but Rin just views him like a friend, even acting more like a mother figure to Yugo than really a friend, often scolding Yugo when he does something reckless and stupid {like try to duel against the Security or enter a Topsider place without permission}, Rin having the habit of hitting Yugo in his stomach with her knee when he annoys her, says or does something foolish. But they really care for each other, Rin is very worried with Yugo well-being and often cheers him up, Yugo is protective with Rin and often calls her of 'Rinrin' affectionately, they're inseparable and very supportive with each other, Rin never will hesitate to be against anyone that mocks Yugo, Yugo gets very jealous when Rin interacts with other guys. Yugo can be very stubborn, quarrelsome, childish, stupid and reckless, but Rin really likes him, not enough to love him, but enough to treat him like a family {the own Yugo often says that Rin acts like a mom, specially when scolding him}. Rin is gentle and friendly with anyone, but she's totally ruthless during Duels {the own Yugo never managed to win of her}. Rin has a huge admiration for Jack Atlas, determined not only to became like him but also someday duel him.
