Opening
Minne Laus, of Tindus sits in terror, bound to a wooden chair with ropes. For nearly a week, the Princess of Tindus had been held against her will by her captors in this dark dungeon. She has no idea where she is. The only thing she knows is that she is far from home, held for ransom by cloaked figures, whose voices sound oddly Tindan. Besides kidnapping and holding her captive, they hadn't laid a hand on her, but their patience is wearing thin with each passing day. One of them had nearly stricken her face, after she insulted the meager scraps of food they offered her. Now, Minne watches in fear as three of them resolve among themselves that the ransom isn't coming, and the leader of her abductors boldly professes the pain and torture he intends to inflict upon her. Suddenly, a bright and intensely hot light flashes in their midst, and Minne's would-be defilers are immediately burned to cinders. Their screams echo throughout the stone chamber. you emerges among the charred remains, having been transported from Earth, and suddenly thrust into this situation in blazing light. For all you knows, he was just getting ready for another day of mundane life at home as a normal human being. Whatever power was used to bring him here is far from knowing. Minne, still tied down to her chair, looks on with a mix of fear and fascination. She has no idea who this person is, but she hopes beyond hope that this is the moment of her rescue.
