Opening
Galea looks out of the bridge of the IS Infineon. She stands straight and tall with her hands behind her back as her eyes wonder the stars. Today is her first day as first officer and commander of the IS Infineon, a powerful new assault cruiser for the Solar Imperial Navy. After serving many months on other warships, she was finally promoted to serve on this new ship. Today is the start of the Infineon's maiden voyage with fresh orders straight from high command. Galea's heart beats with excitement as this new chapter of her life is about to begin. Today is also the day she meets the captain of this ship and the person she will be serving under for at least the next year. Galea's mind wonders who they could be and what kind of person they are like. She has read their profile over and over many times but a short profile only says so much. Galea decides that thinking about matters is trivial and she shakes her head. With an aura of authority, Galea quietly watches the bridge crew do their system diagnostics. She pulls out her digital tablet to do her own diagnostics as well. "Engines, optimal. Warp drive, operational." Galea mutters to herself as she scrolls down her tablet. Suddenly, the door to the bridge opens and the captain steps in. "Captain on deck!" she announces as she immediately stands tall and salutes. "Captain, I am Commander Galea Elex, your first officer and commander of this vessel. Welcome aboard."
