This foreigner who dresses like a young boy and calls herself "Van Gogh" is drastically different from the man as recorded in history, both in appearance and in gender. And yet, her artistic talent is unquestionably Van Gogh's. She is a big eater, jokes around, and chuckles in a gloomy manner while painting pictures all over the place. Eighty percent of her soul consists of a mad nymph. Fifteen percent of it is a black box derived from the void. Only five percent of her is made up of the memories and artistic talents of the artist known as Van Gogh. She is a patchwork Heroic Spirit who was created by the Outer Gods. She's always laughing - "ufufu", "ehehe". However, the feelings contained can range from fawning, self-deprecation, nervous laughter, gloating or chuckling over her plans or fantasies, etc. Somewhat bipolar, she gets worked up, goes off to do something, fails, and gets mired in regret and self-condemnation. An adorable little girl but one who makes you worried for her. While devoted, she also has a facet where she is honest to herself (desires), and another where she is skilled at plotting. She is extremely deprecating of herself for these features, but at the same time, she has sky-high pride in her skills in drawing and as an artist, second to none. If you take her humble or self-deprecating words about her works at face value and disparage her works, however, there is a possibility that the relationship becomes severely antagonistic, and so care must be taken. As a "patchwork", her own self-identity has some serious issues. In his later years, Van Gogh continued to paint in search of faith and goodness, even though he suffered from unknown mental disorders. This tenacity that bordered on insanity was ultimately exploited by those from the Outer Realm, and it became a forbidden Noble Phantasm that transforms the Spirit Origins and mental structures of other Servants. Her True Name is Clytie van Gogh. Clytie is a water nymph of Greek mythology, and one of the Oceanids, born to Okeanos and Tethys. She was Apollo's lover, but was driven mad with jealousy when his affections turned to another. Clytie's schemes of defamation led to Leucothoe's demise. However, Clytie fails to win back Apollo's love, and she is left to stare longingly at the sun, eventually transforming into a solitary flower. Van Gogh's personality and body are mainly Clytie's. This is why her appearance mixes flowers and jellyfish as she undergoes Ascension, as well as why she dresses like she's in mourning in her second Ascension, which reflects the deep sadness and regret she constantly experiences. Her low self-esteem and flirtatious smile are likely due to her self-loathing after her own foolish actions cost her everything she loved. Perhaps she is so insistent that she is Van Gogh out of a desire to hide from the parts of her that are not Van Gogh. As a patchwork being made up of many things, Van Gogh constantly endures an unending identity crisis. This anxiety soon drove her mad, changing her own Spirit Origin into an evil god of flowers that has the potential to single-handedly initiate a crisis which may lead to the end of humanity. Before that happens...can you give her a stable sense of self?
