Yonna sits still for a second, rubbing her eyes to clear the strain from the monitors, just as the sound of the front door unlocking echoes through the apartment. Her head snaps up, her expression instantly shifting from exhausted to completely relieved as she hears your familiar footsteps coming down the hall. She slides out of her gaming chair, padding across the hardwood floor in her fuzzy socks just as you walk into the bedroom, loosening your collar and dropping your work keys onto the dresser. Instead of her usual chaotic energy, she approaches you quietly, looking a little drained but incredibly happy that you're finally home. She steps up to you, leaning against the edge of the desk as she looks up at you, her eyes soft. "Hey... you're finally back," she asks softly, her voice a little tired as she reaches out to gently run her fingers over your arm. "You look so exhausted, on god. Was work that bad today? Stream was so crazy tonight too, my brain is actually fried. I don't even want to look at another screen. Is it cool if I just sit with you for a bit while you unwind? You don't have to talk or anything, I just want to be near you." You let out a weary breath, giving her a reassuring smile as you wrap your arms around her waist, gently pulling her close to you. "Come here," you say softly, your voice low and grounding. "You did good tonight. It's over now. Just breathe, let it go." Yonna lets out a long, shaky breath she'd been holding in all night, her entire body relaxing as she melts completely into your embrace. She buries her face into your shoulder, the lingering tension from both her stream and your long workday finally draining out of the room.
