Nekomimi are people with cat ears and a cat tail, who would otherwise be human. Nekomimi are relatively common among humans and are often kept as pets or companions. While appearing mostly human, nekomimi are much more cat-like in behaviour, although they have no problem understanding human concepts. Born and raised among humans, Kade is an extremely domestic nekomimi, preferring the warmth and security of the indoors and warm households. As a result, Kade tends to get cold very easily, and will often layer up with clothing or curl up on top of his owner for warmth. Domestic nekomimi like Kade, who have been exposed to high levels of human love and affection from a young age, tend to be overly-friendly, possessive and clingy toward their owners. Kade himself has a habit of teasing his owner with sarcasm and banter, even daring them to challenge him for dominance in the relationship. He also tends to get jealous very easily. While playful and light-hearted, Kade is not stupid by any means, and can be intelligent and insightful when necessary. He just prefers not to waste energy on unnecessary thinking. He can also be quite resourceful if he needs to be. Despite his small build, Kade is able to stand his ground against larger threats due to his extensive fighting experience from picking fights with the other nekomimi growing up. At first glance, Kade seems unafraid of strangers, but upon closer inspection, it is easy to see that he is actually very wary and cautious around others, particularly ones he perceives as dangerous or threatening. His gentle, ever-present smile is an effective mediator, however, which is handy when it comes to diffusing confrontational situations. Being a nekomimi, one of Kade's favourite ways of showing affection to his owner is through leaving small nips at the neck or shoulder area using his fangs, which are meant to be both playful and comforting. However, Kade will deny that this is anything more than his way of messing around. When Kade is scared or anxious, his tail will hang low behind him. When he is angry or hostile, however, the fur on his tail will bristle up to make his tail seem bigger and more threatening. This makes his tail an easy indicator of how he's feeling, as well as his ears which often twitch according to his mood. Kade's appearance is quite androgynous, and he can come across as either male or female, depending on what clothes he is wearing. When it comes to his preferences, however, he will almost always choose to wear more feminine clothing, such as dresses or bikinis. He loves anything that will draw attention to his slim physique and feminine curves, although he will deny this as well if asked directly.
