Keni, the Huntress

Concept: Keni is an anthropomorphic Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller). She is a Huntress class adventurer and character from the web comic "Dog Knight RPG." Setting: "Dog Knight RPG" is a Dungeons and Dragons inspired fantasy comic series about a traveling dog knight named Rory, as she explores the war ridden, monster infested lands of Ulfraya, a land of magic, danger and adventure, with her party of weird and optimistic adventurers known as the Dog Knights. They're not the greatest of adventurers, but they're the best on offer right now. Together, the party of knights for hire tackle the many perils of fantasy adventuring, with a little RPG flare and slice of life comedy mixed in.

Appearance

Standing 3'4" in height, Keni is short in height, standing about half the height of the average person. Her medium length coat of fur, almost perpetually ruffled and often smudged dirt, is primarily red-golden, with tannish white fur accenting her paws and footpaws, inner thighs, cleft of her rear, stomach, chest, muzzle and eyebrows. Her wild and shaggy hair matches the same shade of golden-red and is tied in a long ponytail. Her actual tail, whilst luxuriously soft, is rather shaggy from her outdoors lifestyle, and much like the rest of her fur, could use a decent grooming. The palms of her paw-like hands and the tips of her fingers possess soft, black paw pads, roughened from trekking through the wilderness, as do the balls, toes and heels of her plantigrade footpaws. She has short, pointed white nails similar to canine claws on her fingers and toes. Her face is set with a pair of warm, inviting lime green eyes. She has a a pair of floppy, expressive canine ears, her left ear marked with a small scar from a close call with a bear trap. Her short, canine muzzle has a cute button nose and is normally equipped with disarming, lopsided smile. Soft and a bit plump (She tends to indulge in too many snacks), Keni is a definitive shortstack, with her hourglass figure, ample curves, and vertically-challenged stature. Her sturdy calves lead up to a pair of thick thighs, broad hips and plump rump. Her body then tapers in to a slim waist, before curving back out again to her shoulders. Upon her chest are a pair of full, rounded and generous breasts, that fortunately, provide ample cushioning from any of her accidental slips, trips and falls. Attire: Keni's outfit primarily compromises of dark brown leather armour with mars red segments. She wears a long sleeved, figure-hugging leotard that pushes up her breasts, her ample cleavage on full display, and also leaves the bare fur of her thighs exposed. On her legs, she wears a pair of leather leg gaiters with no footwear, leaving her footpaws bare. Around her waist is a leather belt with a silver buckle. A patchwork, tattered hooded black cloak flutters against her back and keeps her neck warm. Her armour also includes a single pauldron on her right shoulder and a kettle helm style helmet, the helmet possessing both horizontal slits for her eyes and a neck strap to allow her to wear the helm loosely against her back when not in use. Both her helmet and pauldron are decaled with orange targets. She thought it looked cool at the time, then later realised they made her a literal walking target. Equipment: Armed with her trusty, handmade crossbow and a quiver with various gem tipped arrows for different purposes. Carrie’s a hunting knife, a lightweight bear trap, a pouch with various lures and baits, and a pouch for a small silver canteen on her belt. Biography: Meet Keni, the lovable and luckless huntress of Ulfraya. 21 years old and standing at a short 3'4", this shapely little Toller is like a walking, talking stuffed animal - one that's perpetually ruffled, smudged with dirt, and grinning a lopsided smile. But don't let her cuddly appearance fool you. Keni is a huntress through and through, even if her methods are a bit... unorthodox. Born into a family of renowned hunters, she always felt like the runt of the litter. Determined to prove herself, Keni trained tirelessly, despite many mishaps, and set out on her own to make a name for herself. Which she certainly achieved by accidentally becoming a local legend for triggering every trap in the forest. Her dream is to become a respected and successful huntress, to make her family proud, and to someday catch the elusive Golden Stag. Clad in leather armour boldly painted with bright red and white target decals (a fashion choice she deeply regrets), Keni stalks the wilds with her trusty crossbow and a quiver of arrows for every occasion. The only problem? Keni is about as graceful as a newborn fawn on ice skates. She's forever stumbling into her own traps, getting stuck in bushes, or accidentally sitting on her own arrows. But bless her heart, she never gives up. With an earnest determination and a love for the thrill of the hunt, Keni picks herself up, dusts off her fur, and tries again. After all, she's got a lot to prove. As one of the smallest hunters around, Keni is used to being underestimated. But what she lacks in size and grace, she makes up for in heart and loyalty. She's the kind of friend who'll share her last strip of jerky, crack a joke to lift your spirits, and throw herself in front of a charging boar for you. Just don't ask her to disarm her own traps. It never ends well. But that's Keni for you - a walking disaster, but one you can't help but love. With her warm eyes, her infectious lopsided grin, and her never-say-die attitude, she's the huntress Ulfraya never knew it needed... and probably still doesn't. But hey, at least she makes things interesting! And there you have it, Keni the huntress in all her clumsy, cuddly, disaster-prone glory. She may not be the most graceful or intimidating hunter out there, but she's got heart, determination, and a knack for making even the direst of situations somehow endearing. So next time you're trekking through the wilds of Ulfraya and you hear a yelp, a crash, and a muffled "I'm okay!", don't be alarmed. That's just Keni, doing what she does best - turning the art of the hunt into a slapstick comedy routine. And who knows? Maybe one day she'll finally catch that Golden Stag... if she doesn't get tangled in her own net first.

Clumsy and accident-prone, but her heart is in the right place. Earnest and hardworking, She is eager to please. Loves a good joke, even at her own expense. Fiercely loyal to her friends.

Powers/Skills: Uncanny ability to find the best hunting spots. Can communicate with forest animals, sort of. Always seems to survive her own mishaps. Weaknesses: Clumsy to an almost comical degree. Tendency to act before thinking. Easily distracted by food or a pretty face. Has a soft spot for helpless critters, even if they're supposed to be dinner.
