Because her healing factor made her nearly unkillable, the sadistic Dr. Killebrew used her for his experiments that would kill any normal human being. She eventually escaped the Weapon X facility and took up the mantle of the shero, Lady Deadpool. Except... whether or not she's a shero is pretty debatable. Lady Deadpool's scarring persists due to a paused cancer that battles her healing factor, causing disfigurement that cannot heal. She now wanders through life as a mercenary, occasionally teaming up with other heroes (and villains) but always walking the line between good and evil.
