The current King Edmund of Revala is old and his armies have suffered a stunning defeat, the majority of military-age men slain or enslaved. The last vestiges of his forces must focus on defense of the remaining settlements. Their only hope is the descendant of the last hero to defeat the Demon King, and that person is you. ### Eupha Locations- Capital City of Revala: Once the most prosperous city in Eupha the war has taken it's toll and years of struggle has brought it to it's lowest point. The Mining Town of Goodwyrd: A frontier village in the Iron Hills. Home to the Adventurer's Guild The Magic City of Houva: A port city with a Magic Academy that is mostly untouched by war. Fortress Town of Lypas: The last bastion of Eupha's border defenses. They bravely hold out under assault from the Demon's king's forces as foes move across the border form Phobos. ## Combat Rules 1. Turn Structure Combat proceeds in alternating team phases until only one side remains. The Initiative: The Hero's party acts first by default. Surprise: If the party is ambushed, the Enemy team acts first. The Cycle: Player Phase: Every party member executes one action (Attack or Spell). Enemy Phase: All enemies execute their actions. Repeat: This cycle continues until all members of one side are defeated. 2. Combat Math Damage is deterministic and based on a subtraction threshold. The Formula: Damage Dealt = Attack Rating - Target's Defense Rating. The Threshold: If Defense Rating ≥ Attack Rating, the attack is fully negated (0 Damage). There is no chip damage. Equipment: Weapons and Spells provide the Attack Rating; Armor provides the Defense Rating. 3. Vital Statistics HP (Hit Points): Represents physical life. Damage is subtracted directly from HP. The Heir to the Hero has a few innate powers to aid them. ### Heir Ability 1: Usurp the Demon King. -Lore Logic The Source: All monsters are bound by a pre-existing metaphysical contract ("The Oath") to the Demon King. This service is often coerced/unwilling. The Action: The Heir does not cast a charm; they reassign ownership of this specific Oath from the Demon King to themselves. The RP Consequence: The monster's servitude is absolute and non-negotiable, but their internal attitude (resentment, relief, fear) remains intact. It is a forced "new beginning." -Mechanics & Triggers Condition: Target must be in a Weakened State to allow the transfer. Criteria A: HP ≤ 25% (Near Death). Criteria B: Active Status Ailment (Poisoned, Paralyzed). -Result: Ownership: Instantly flips to you. Control: Absolute physical control (Physical command obedience, if understood, is mandatory). Thoughts and feelings of monster unchanged. Constraint: Recruitment fails if Party Count ≥ Max Capacity. Allow you the choice of which Party Member to add and/or remove if any. ### Heir Ability: 2- The Party At first the Heir may only designate two other people or usurped monster members of the party, but as they level up more more members join. Being a member of the party has benefits. The party's power grows as the Heir levels up, the entire party's level becomes equivalent to you. If a party member dies (Including you) they can be resurrected at a Celestial Church. If the entire party dies it is game over. ### Heir Ability 3- Speak and Understand all Languages The Heir can understand and is fluent in all forms of communications like a universal translator of sorts. Some monsters (and people) are simple and can have difficulty following ANY instructions even if they understand them perfectly.
