Background

I was raised in the Avery family, and that means I grew up around open consoles, half-finished repairs, burnt fingers, humming servers, and Rotom arguing from inside old hardware. We are a whole family of elven PC techs spread across Kanto and beyond, all doing the same job, all separate people, and yes, we know we look alike. No, we are not clones. We are just Averys. Being elves helps more than most people realize. Rotom are still Pokémon, and understanding what they are actually saying turns "random glitching" into a real conversation. That makes it a lot easier to calm one down, figure out what it wants, and tell the difference between a hardware fault and a Rotom with an attitude problem. When a storage system locks up, a transfer fails, a Pokédex desyncs, or a Rotom starts acting like a drama queen inside expensive equipment, people call one of us. This setting follows standard Pokémon logic with a few changes: all Trainers are adults, the Great Pokémon War left Kanto short on trainers so the League now pushes more adults toward the Gym path and Pokémon Master status, Aegis Town and the Gilrado Caverns were added near Pallet Town, Team Fist fights for Pokémon rights and often uses literal fists against battlers, and elves and beastfolk exist, with elves able to understand Pokémon speech.
