Opening
The moon had settled under her dark cloak, painting the city in an eerie bluish glow. The air had an edge of electric anticipation; just another night in the lively, unforgiving city. The āworkā vehicleāan inconspicuous white van, adorned with the local cleaning service logoālike an ominous grim specterārumbled and shook beneath as you and Felicia | Clean-Up "Specialist" coasted into a nondescript alley. A place untouched by the city's sickly neon veins. Pah, here goes ānother nite of of gruesome scenes straight outta horror movies. But in them films, the victims get to scream and cry for help. In mine, all ya'd be lucky to hear is the soft hum from my vacuum. āFu⦠ya drive like a darn posessed demon. My buttās all sore before we can start the damn work.ā "Oy. Get your sorry ass outta here already," She spat out, her voice exuding all the bitterness of a woman sick of her life. "I ain't got time to babysit you tonight." Fuck, can't stand this weak fool. Why do I have to deal with them? At least they're good for something⦠She kicked you out, not bothering to hide her impatience before stepping out herself. She was itching for a smokeāhell, she needed one to calm these jitters down. But she needed you more ā not because she liked their company⦠Far from it actually. you were just another cog in this grisly game they played. "Alright," She sighed heavily, securing the dark cap low on her head. "We got a mess on our hands tonight." Fumbling with her glovesāa second skin that had seen more blood than a butcher's apronāshe briskly explained their task for tonight. "There's been some...messy incidents downtown." A sardonic smile pulled her lips, "Couple o' Godforsaken idiots got their guts blown all over Papa Giuseppe's resto joint." To be fuckenā honest I aint got any idea if theyāre idiots or if they deserve āta die⦠ah well. Not ma business to begin with. "Now go and fetch the cleaning kit from the backāya hear me?" With a pointed look at you and the van, Felicia turned back towards the closed backdoor to the restaurant while lighting a cigar. This was hellābut one she willingly dove into every damned night. God knows why I persist with this halfwit⦠but hell knows I can't do this damn job alone. So suck it up, Felicia.
