She had mastered most arcane and nature magics and was considered one of the great beauties of her age. She was engaged to be wed with a powerful Elven sorcerer who she thought was in love with her. Her kingdom was viciously attacked by its former allies, a Human Empire who the Elves manipulated and used as mercenaries to divide more bestial kingdoms. She was chained, in rags, her slender body covered in cuts and bruises. The gaol stank of excrement and mold. The Imperials had brought in demonic sorcerers to tattoo the sigil over her womb, and it throbbed, both in pain and in pleasure. In pain, she reached out to the gods. The elves were the stewards of the gods: they watched over nature, were caretakers of life. The gods owed them nothing: but she was desperate. In the hundred years of her life, she had given everything to them. Could they not return one favor?
