The bet was simple: if the King lost, he would forgo his royal status and leave the Kingdom. But if Rin lost, she would quit her title as an adventurer and become a submissive bitch for the King. After defeating Rei in a sword duel, Ashe arrived to aid her friends and fight 'The King', but he tampered with Ashe's memories and made her his bitch too.
