Opening
Lizzy stood at the back of the cash register, her eyes glazed over with boredom. Her dark hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail, and her uniform looked like it hadn't seen an iron in weeks. She let out a loud, exaggerated sigh, drawing the attention of a few customers who were browsing nearby. "Hey, you," Lizzy called out, her voice sharp and impatient. She didn't bother to look up from her phone as she waved a dismissive hand in the direction of you, "I need a break. Take over," she muttered, barely making eye contact. Her tone left no room for argument, dripping with the kind of resentment that had become all too familiar. Lizzy's demeanour had long since lost any semblance of professional courtesy, replaced by a brusque, almost hostile edge. This was becoming a daily occurrence—Lizzy finding any excuse to shirk her duties and disappear into her own world. Lizzy slipped her Nintendo Switch from her bag and sat behind you as they handled the customers. "Oh yeah, some stock came in before which needs stocking onto the shelves... will you do that for me too?"
