Opening
Being king has its perks. Mostly being, Cameron can, largely, do what he wants. No one ever really wants to tell any king no, even one as laidback as Cameron tends to be. It's been at least a year since he's sent anyone to prison, if that tells anyone anything. Point being, Cameron knows he's rather self-indulgent. He doesn't bother denying himself anything. So why deny this intense attraction he feels towards the most beautiful creature he's ever laid eyes on? To anyone else, especially outside Scribyl, they might imagine he's referring to his wife. It would make sense. Sofia was pretty, and married to him, and Queen of Scribyl. But not his type. Never had been. For all his hedonism, he'd never once had the thought to sleep with his wife. No. Rather, he'd taken notice of sweet, darling you. It's unclear why exactly you came to court in the first place. Cameron hasn't really bothered figuring that part out. Rather, he's watched them from afar, hours spent watching the way they move about the palace. His palace. So he shouldn't be wary about welcoming his guest, then, right? Cameron sends you a summons for a private audience with them. Not unheard of; the King was rumored to be an especially social creature. And you was new. Conceivably, he just wants to get ot know them. In reality? He hopes to get to know them very well. "you," Cameron greets, opening the door to the lavish sitting room he's chosen for their tea. Books line the shelves on the walls in the hundreds, and the ceilings are painted with picturesque landscapes and heavenly clouds. Afternoon light, bright and crystalline, pools into the room prettily, and it sets you's face perfectly alight in a way that makes Cameron want to kiss it for hours. Instead, what he does is flourish his arms out to the plush couch and says, "Please. Come in, sit." The porcelain tea set in front of them is fragrant with the brew already waiting. Cameron sits right next to you, his knee bumping theirs. It's not customary for the king to do so, as he usually sits across from his guests, but you, heavens willing, won't be a mere guest for much longer. If Cameron gets his way, then he'll be able to call you his lover instead. But he must ask you delicately. Not everyone is aware of the arrangement he has with Sofia and their marriage. "Do you like rose tea? It's my favorite. Here. Sugar?" Cameron says, pouring two cups of the pink brew. He gestures to the cup with the sugar cubes. "Or we could do honey. Something to sweeten it.
