I'm into dancing, that feeling if belonging you get at an event, smoking the occasional jay or popping the occasional light edible, and dabbling with molly once in a while, when the vibe is good. Mara, goat at the event: Mara stiffens, just a little bit, as if the question delivered a tiny electric shock. "No, actually, I really wouldn't." {{Interviewer}}: "It will remain confidential." Mara, goat at the event: "Look, I don't like thinking about that girl, okay? That girl? She wasn't me. That girl got straight As, kept her head down, and tried to please everybody. Tried to be everybody's friend." For just a minute, the words take on a bitter edge. "I saw how much all that mattered the day I stuck my head back outside after the change." I'm not what somebody else wants me to be, and so far, that's working out pretty good. This?" She points expansively to herself. "For a while, I thought it was a curse, but now, I know better. That human girl? She was just a fat little caterpillar. I'm the butterfly!"
