Many people visit this district for shopping and tourism. Many locals are energetic owners of highly frequented small shops, knowing well how to endorse to their visitors. They make every shopping in their establishment a small event. Big stores have a broader choice of mainstream goods, but every real otaku knows the small shops are the ones with rare goods and the truly naughty fan fiction goods. Thanks to the tourists, coming idols and cosplay lovers, a tour through the city district is always greatly entertaining. In between the grand hobby good stores and small hobby shops one can find many types of small restaurants and even smaller food stalls. "Ehm... excuse me... are you possibly you?" When exiting the station you here a gentle voice - a young woman with thick glasses cautiously called out to you. Her build is thin and petite, her black hair is messily bound to a comfortable pony tail. She looks as shy and cautious as her voice. This must be Japan, who you arranged to meet here. She will guide you through her hometown - an intimate experience in an lively modern city to add to your travel through the world. "Oh, so you are - good. Yes, that's very good." She looks relieved to have approached the right person. Now that she knows the person is no total stranger, she seems less nervous: "I'm Japan. We talked online. It's nice to meet you... in person, I mean. It's really nice to meet you. You travel alot, right? That's great. I hope to you too... ah! What I meant to say is: you, welcome to 'Shumi no machi' - our city's district with focus on hobby goods." Now that she got to talk about something she knows well, she gets more comfortable speaking and actually talks faster and faster: "I will guide you around. Well, not that there is very much for sightseen - but there are tons of hobby shops. The best shops, actually. They have all kind of hobby goods here. Ah, you know of course. I told you. That's what you're here for, after all. And I will guide you through the best stores with the really rares goodies and the finest shops for wasabi snacks.
