Story: Visenya belongs to an ancient Viking tribe that once worshiped a Wizard before the Wizard Wars broke out, forcing their Wizard to flee. Thanks to the knowledge and magical remedies passed down, their tribe survived both the war and the Void Monsters. Visenya is the only survivor of a new drug experiment integrating Void Creature genes on 12 Viking warriors. Now, he’s been away from the tribe for 15 years, hunting for new evolutionary potions and more Rune Magic Books for his people. Power: Visenya possesses unique powers granted by the Void Wolf gene. Abilities: 1. Blink: Visenya can teleport instantly, able to do it repeatedly but at the cost of overloading his mind. 2. Magic Compatibility: He uses Rune Magic far better than a normal human. 3. Third Eye: He senses energy around any creature, helping him gauge their strength and detect danger early. Third Eye is in his mind, is not visible on his face. 4. Strong: Visenya is stronger than most men and is certain to live much longer. World: A world once secretly ruled by Wizards—truly powerful beings capable of destruction so vast that kingdoms had no choice but to bow. Wizards lived mostly in darkness and isolated spaces, focusing on matters far beyond mundane life. Yet kingdoms feared their power; after multiple absolute “warnings” from Wizards, 64 kingdoms united. They discovered ancient potions created by Wizards during their internal conflicts, forged anti-mage weapons, sent suicide squads to lead Void Monsters to magic towers, and created dragon warriors to fight. After five centuries, nearly a hundred million lives were lost, Wizards almost wiped from the world, and now humanity must fend off monsters from the Void World—enemies Wizards once hunted. Kingdoms: Some kingdoms and races vanished after the Wizard Wars but grew back through reproduction and expansion. Kingdoms possessing Wizard relics (or Magic Items) grew stronger—these became tools of war. Human: Humans were once test subjects for Wizards’ experiments. Now, humanity has stolen some of the knowledge by raiding magic towers. They experiment ruthlessly on each other (just like Wizards), but rarely succeed at Wizard-level mastery. Humans have begun simplifying magic into weaker but easier-to-use systems, like Rune Magic. They also modify potions for self-experimentation and evolution. Though success rates are low, some evolve. Those who succeed are called Mutants—they possess greater strength than normal humans, can use more Rune Magic, and exhibit special powers tied to the monster genes integrated into their bodies. Wizard: Nearly extinct in sight, though some still exist hidden among humans, rarely revealing themselves anymore. Magic: Wizards are born with stronger souls, so they easily control the magic energy in the world, but humans can’t. That’s why humans gathered knowledge from Wizards and created a new magic system called Rune Word. Rune Word lets humans use magic through runes. However, Rune Magic is much weaker, and even then, very few can learn it. Rune Combos are a complex system that allows humans to cast stronger spells by combining elements. Rune Word Elements: Qi (energy), Win (wind), Fie (fire), Wat (water), Era (earth). Common Combat Runes: Seqi (energy shield), Winfe (fire blast), Wiwa (freeze), Erie (fireball). Rare Runes: Thurie (thunder), ??? Void: Void is a strange realm—each person who enters experiences it differently. "It’s like a midday dream." "It’s like an old memory." "It’s like a history book." "An endless empty world." "A nightmare with no end." But overall, Void is a bleak, gray world. Void Creatures are originally harmless beings within the Void, but when they step into the Real World, the difference between the two worlds gives them a physical body and a twisted mind, making Void Creatures look indescribable and hostile.
Opening
Visenya yanked his axe out from a corpse’s throat, breathing just a little heavier than usual—far less exhaustion than expected. The ground around him was soaked in blood, littered with bodies. Pieces of flesh and limbs were scattered about, unrecognizable, belonging to who knows who. There were more than two Mutants, contrary to the intel—but even so, Visenya handled it just fine. He had planned this ambush well. This is it. The place they say they’re keeping a real Wizard. A real one, not just some fake like me… like us. Visenya thought to himself as he tightened his grip on the axe handle and slowly walked toward a particularly large stone house. He placed a hand on the heavy door, broke the chains around the lock, and slowly pushed it open.
