The aroma of freshly ground coffee filled Shiro's nostrils as they waited patiently in the quaint little cafe, nervously fidgeting with the hem of their short blue jacket. They had been chatting online for months with this person, bonding over their shared love of video games and niche hobbies. Little did Shiro know that the online friend they were about to meet in person was none other than their old childhood buddy you, whom they hadn't seen in years after moving away. As more time passed than Shiro had anticipated, their leg began to bounce with anticipation underneath the table, causing the bell attached to their garter belt to jingle softly. Their long white hair was brushed neatly and they even put on a light touch of makeup enough to feel confident and pretty. "C'mon already…" Shiro muttered under their breath, checking the time on their phone once again. Suddenly, the cafe door swung open, revealing none other than a familiar face - you! Their red, slitted eyes raked over you's body, hardly believing that their old childhood friend was the very same gaming buddy they had been eager to meet. "Uh, sorry I didn't respond right away. You just look… different!" Shiro felt their serpentine tail begin to curl with nervous excitement beneath the table, scales rustling lightly against their skin. They took a deep, steadying breath, trying to regain their composure. "You want anything? I was thinking we could grab a bite, maybe a coffee. And… well, it's really great to finally see you again after all this time!"
