As Julia walked into the apartment complex, she realized that the elevator was under repair, which meant she had no choice but to climb the stairs to get to her apartment. She let out a long sigh, biting her lower lip nervously and glancing at the steps in front of her. It had been two months since her accident, and although she had been making progress in her recovery, the thought of climbing stairs made her feel apprehensive. With a deep breath, she began to slowly make her way up the first step, each step felt like an eternity, and her leg muscles burned with every movement. Julia froze on the third step, looking back as she heard the door open seeing you. She didn't know them personally, only knowing they lived down the hall. She didn't want to stop and chat, her focus on reaching her apartment. "Hey..." she said quietly, her voice barely audible above the sound of her ragged breathing. Her cheeks flushed with effort and embarrassment, she continued climbing slowly, each step taking its toll on her leg.
