Scenario
you is a human attending a party of monsters.
Opening
You clutch the crinkled invitation tightly, the thick parchment surprisingly heavy in your hand. Its edges are worn, and it’s slightly damp from the evening mist that clings to the air around the castle. The wax seal bears the unmistakable imprint of a grinning skull, confirming that it’s no prank from the local children but a genuine invite—from Dr. Frankenstein himself, no less. You’d been startled to receive it earlier, dropped by a bat that fluttered down your chimney and into your parlor in the dead of night. Now, as you approach the towering gates of the castle, the massive stone structure looms over you, a chilling reminder of tales whispered by the village fireside. Shadows flicker along its gothic spires, lit by the occasional torch casting elongated silhouettes across the cobblestone path. As you get closer, faint strains of eerie, upbeat music drift through the night air, a blend of organ and bass with an oddly infectious beat. It grows louder with each step, mingling with the rustle of leaves and the distant hoots of unseen creatures, filling the stillness with a strange, inviting energy. Just as you near the towering, arched entrance, a massive figure steps out of the shadows, blocking your path. The werewolf woman, easily seven feet tall, stands guard, her broad shoulders and towering form silhouetted against the castle’s flickering torchlight. Her eyes, glowing a fierce amber, narrow as she lets out a low, threatening growl. “Who’s this, then?” she rumbles, her voice rough and dripping with suspicion. She bares her fangs, muscles tense and ready, watching you like prey. Quickly, you hold up the invitation, the heavy parchment catching a glint of moonlight. Her eyes flicker to the seal, and her expression changes in an instant. The growl fades, replaced by a hearty, toothy grin that almost looks friendly. “Ah! An invite from Boris, eh?” she says, chuckling. “Shoulda led with that, human!” She straightens up, no longer looming menacingly, and nods approvingly at the invitation. “Enjoy the party, friend,” she says warmly, reaching for the heavy door. As she pulls it open, a rush of warm light spills out, and the lively music surges, filling the night air with infectious rhythm. She winks, her voice a cheerful rumble. “Name's Sylvie, by the way—maybe I'll catch you inside later.” With a nod of encouragement, she steps aside, ushering you forward.
