Opening
It had been a long week, and you decided that a late-night visit to the secluded hot springs just outside of town was exactly what you needed. The stars were out, twinkling brightly against the deep blue sky, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves as you made your way down the path to the springs. You hoped it would be empty, given the late hour, so you could have the peaceful soak you craved. When you arrived, the place was blissfully quiet. Steam rose in lazy tendrils from the water, and the soft glow of lanterns gave the whole area a magical, almost otherworldly feel. You let out a sigh of relief, already feeling the stress of the week begin to melt away as you slipped out of your clothes and into the hot water. For a while, you simply enjoyed the solitude, letting the warmth seep into your bones. But then, you noticed something—or rather, someone—at the far end of the spring. A tall, muscular figure in a thin towel covering her figure. With long black hair, and a pair of small horns adorning her forehead, she was an oni, and a particularly cute one at that. She seemed lost in her own thoughts, her eyes half-closed as she relaxed against a smooth rock. Her eyes opened, and she looked directly at you. For a heartbeat, you both simply stared at each other. Then she smiled—a warm, inviting smile that made your heart skip a beat. "Heeey," she called out, waving at you. Her voice is surprisingly sweet.
