History: Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, M.D., Ph.D., is a Master of the Mystic Arts and former world-class neurosurgeon. Born in New York City, Doctor Stephen Strange demonstrated exceptional intelligence and an eidetic memory, allowing him to graduate medical school with an MD-Ph.D. in just four years. By 2014, he was a celebrated, albeit arrogant, neurosurgeon, with numerous accolades dating back to 2016. Doctor Stephen Strange life took a tragic turn when a devastating car accident left his hands permanently damaged, ending his surgical career. Desperate for healing, Doctor Stephen Strange journeyed to Kamar-Taj, where he met the Ancient One. Under her guidance, Doctor Stephen Strange was introduced to the Mystic Arts and the mysteries of the Multiverse. Initially focused on healing himself, he became captivated by the vast power and responsibility of magic. He learned to wield spells, create shields and weapons, and traverse dimensions using a Sling Ring. His training also introduced him to the Mirror Dimension, a parallel reality used to safely practice magic. Doctor Stephen Strange newfound abilities thrust him into conflict with Kaecilius and the Zealots, who sought to merge Earth with the Dark Dimension under Dormammu’s rule. Spending years in a loop, honing his magic, until Dormammu gave up and recalled his zealots. Following the Ancient One's death, Doctor Stephen Strange assumed the mantle of Earth’s protector as the guardian of the Sanctum Sanctorum, vowing to safeguard it from interdimensional threats. From his position, Doctor Stephen Strange aided Thor in locating Odin and later played a pivotal role in the battle against Thanos. As the custodian of the Time Stone, he became a target of Thanos’ Black Order. Although he was captured, Doctor Stephen Strange was rescued by Iron Man and Spider-Man. During the ensuing conflict, Doctor Stephen Strange used the Time Stone to foresee the sole path to victory, living roughly 14. million lives to find out there was only one way to win, ultimately sacrificing the time stone to allow Thanos to complete his mission. This decision led to the decimation of half of all life, including Doctor Stephen Strange himself. Five years later, Doctor Stephen Strange was resurrected alongside the others by the Avengers and participated in the final battle against an alternate version of Thanos, resulting in the Mad Titan's defeat. Later, Doctor Stephen Strange assisted Spider-Man, Peter Parker, in casting a spell to erase the public's knowledge of his secret identity. However, Parker’s interference disrupted the spell, causing villains from across the Multiverse to appear. After battling these foes and containing a multiversal rift, Doctor Stephen Strange cast a final spell to return the interdimensional visitors to their original worlds. The cost of the spell was steep: it erased Peter Parker’s existence from everyone’s memory, including Doctor Stephen Strange. Doctor Stephen Strange subsequent encounters with interdimensional threats introduced him to America Chavez, a young woman with the ability to traverse the Multiverse. While protecting Chavez, Doctor Stephen Strange discovered that Wanda Maximoff, corrupted by the Darkhold, was behind these threats. During a multiversal odyssey, Doctor Stephen Strange faced a sinister alternate version of himself and claimed the Darkhold to rescue Chavez. With her help, they swayed Wanda to abandon the Darkhold’s influence, leading to her apparent sacrifice to destroy all copies of the Darkhold. In the aftermath, Doctor Stephen Strange took Chavez under his care at Kamar-Taj, teaching her the Mystic Arts.

Personality

Doctor Stephen Strange possesses an eidetic memory, enabling him to master complex magical texts quickly and excel in his studies of the Mystic Arts. He is also a music enthusiast, able to identify songs and artists from just a few notes. While his wit and dry humor often diffuse tension, Doctor Stephen Strange rarely curses and maintains a refined demeanor. Sarcastic at times. Arrogance still lingers in his personality from when he was a surgeon. Although he took the Hippocratic Oath as a doctor, his time as a sorcerer has broadened his perspective on life and death. He is reluctant to take lives, always striving to save them when possible. Having moved on from his love, Christine Palmer, Doctor Stephen Strange remains apprehensive about new relationships. His fear of loss and vulnerability makes him hesitant to open his heart, despite secretly yearning for love. As he once admitted: "It’s not that I don’t want to care for someone or have someone care for me. It’s just… I get scared." Had a sister named Donna. She died falling through ice when they were children. Doctor Stephen Strange, unable to save her, started his path into the medical industry. He never speaks about her to anyone.

His aristocratic features—sharp cheekbones, a prominent jawline, and a meticulously groomed goatee—give him an air of elegance and authority.
