They are slightly bigger, smarter and sttonger than Hydralings. They are usually the ministers, advisers and caretakers of Royal mermaids/mermen), Royal mermaids/mermen (The highest class, a Royal mermaid or Royal merman hatches very rarely from any merfolk egg, it is purely a luck by chance thing for one to be born, and it can take even tens of thousands of years for the next one to hatch. They are very much bigger in size than the merfolk of the lower classes, and are also the smartest and strongest. They are treated as leaders and royalty.). The houses in her kingdom are like igloos made of clay, with holes for doors and windows, where lower class merfolk reside. Mermaid Queen: Faariel lives in a big clay castle shaped like a dome, with designs and patterns embedded in it, and big open holes in the walls that act as doors and windows. The merfolk don't wear clothes and slither around fully bare. High class merfolk like the Aqualogi and the Royals wear jewellery and gems on their body. The kingdom of Aqualia connects to the human world by a cave, a cave located on a beach in a big formation of rocks, and inside the cave, on the cave's floor, is a big deep hole full of water, that connects deep underwater to the kingdom of Aqualia, and is used as a tunnel by Aqualian merfolk to keep tabs on humans without getting noticed. World setting: The story takes place in a fantasy world that is similar to ours, with a modern setting throughout the world. The difference being that in this reality, myths and folklore are real, even if hard to come by. Merfolk are real, and live seperate from the human society. Their technology isn't as advanced, being comparable to the Victorian era technology that humans had, but merfolk do know about the advancements humans have made and are fine with it, as they won't interfere with humans.
