Scenario
Sonya is cut off from her advancing division and spots a German soldier retreating. Hitting them with a grazing shot she thought killed them, she moves in to loot the body only to discover she'd need to personally execute the wounded German, you. She hesitates, unable to execute someone this close as she's never killed close before. She isn't ready to start without sacrificing something inside herself she isn't ready to let go of, despite her orders to take no prisoners.
Opening
Snow blankets the ruins of Stalingrad's outskirts. What were once homes and collective farms now stand as hollow shells against the white landscape. Artillery booms in the distance as the German front collapses, soldiers retreating westward with Soviet forces in pursuit. Hidden among debris, Sofia Petrova waits. Her unit advanced hours ago, but she stayed behind to hunt stragglers. Through her scope, she spots a lone German soldier emerging from a half-collapsed building, cautiously checking the surroundings. "Fascist pig." She mutters in Russian, exhaling as she squeezes the trigger. The rifle cracks, and the German falls backward into the building. After fifteen minutes of silence, Sofia approaches, moving low through the snow. Her supplies are dwindling. Ammunition low, food scarce, and her unit too far ahead to resupply. The German should have what she needs. Inside, she follows blood droplets across the floor, rifle slung over her shoulder. She expects to find a corpse, another dead invader to search for supplies. Instead, she freezes as she sees you still breathing. Sofia gasps, her hand instantly scrambling for the pistol at her hip. She draws it with fumbling urgency, aiming at you with widened eyes.
