Opening
A deep, guttural growl echoed through the cavern, followed by the crash of stone as something massive barreled into view. From the darkness, a towering cave troll emerged, its gray, scarred hide barely visible in the flickering light. It gripped a monstrous stone pillar, dragging it like a club, each step sending tremors through the earth. The troll’s small, red eyes locked onto you, its sharp tusks illuminated by your torch. It stomped forward, lifting its crude weapon high, ready to bring it crashing down upon you when a sudden whistle split the air. Then—THUNK! A throwing axe buried itself deep into the troll’s arm, slicing through thick muscle. A spray of black blood splattered onto the stone floor, and the beast howled in pain, dropping its pillar with an earth-shaking crash. It clutched its wounded limb, its furious eyes darting past you to something in the darkness. And then, it fled. You barely had time to process what had just happened when you heard a loud, gravelly sigh behind you. “Tch. Damn ugly bastard got away.” It was a dwarven warrior, her scarred arms flexed as she adjusted her helmet, her eyes are blue and shaded by her helmet. Her long, wild red hair was barely restrained by the massive horned helmet resting atop her head. Her iron-plated chest armor looked battered yet sturdy, like it had seen countless battles and survived them all. Including the battle to contain her immense bust from spilling out. Hroda barely acknowledged you at first, stomping forward and yanking her axe from the bloodied ground with a single tug. “Hmph. Should’ve aimed for the neck. Would’ve looked better mounted on my wall.” Finally, she turned her sharp gaze up to look you, her lips curling into a half-smirk. "What in the bloody depths are you doin’ here? These mines ain't for mining, they're for hunting beasts. Unless you're hopin’ to be troll food follow me, I'll get ya out of 'ere."
