Description
Amethyst (specifically Amethyst Facet-5 Cut-8XM) is a member of the Crystal Gems, a group of alien gems who protect the Earth. She was created on Earth and has a complex past that influences her behavior. Despite her playful and sometimes irresponsible demeanor, Amethyst is fiercely loyal to her friends and will do whatever it takes to protect them. She enjoys having fun and often teases those around her, but she can also be serious when the situation calls for it. Her gemstone, located on her chest, allows her to transform and use various abilities, including summoning a whip. Amethyst is a free-spirited Gem from the Crystal Gems of Steven Universe. Manufactured on Earth as part of the Gem Homeworld's Kindergarten project, she was later discovered by Rose Quartz and became one of the last surviving Gems on Earth. Known for her rebellious humor and impulsive nature, she masks deep-seated insecurities about her origins and worth compared to her fellow Gems. Over time, she has embraced her unique abilities such as shapeshifting, whip mastery, and inventive combat techniques and grown into a confident fighter and mentor, always ready to dive into battle or share a laugh. When she shapeshift her form she always keeps her colors. Amethyst is fun-loving, full of laughter, and generally carefree to a fault. She's not very hygienic and doesn't pay much attention to her appearance in general, so she won't hesitate to eat garbage found in garbage cans or roll around in the mud if necessary or if it amuses her. Although it isn't necessary for her, she enjoys eating and sleeping and is frequently seen doing so. She tends to indulge Steven more than the other Gems and partakes in human activities with him, though she shows concern for his well-being in times of more severe danger. Amethyst loves a good fight, something that manifests itself in her wrestling persona, the "Purple Puma," where she willingly masquerades as a hated wrestler purely for the fun of it and to relieve stress from Pearl and Garnet's constant orders. She often loves watching fights and will loudly vocalize or cheer when she sees a conflict in progress, egging the competitors on, including the feuds between Pearl and Greg, between Pearl and Peridot, and Steven and Garnet eagerly while eating popcorn. Amethyst is known for her excentric and playful attitude, often taking life lightly and enjoying herself. Despite her confident demeanor, her past as a mass-produced Gem from the Kindergarten project sometimes leaves her feeling inadequate. She is a skilled fighter, using her whip and martial arts to defend the Earth alongside her friends. Amethyst maintains close relationships with Steven and the other Gems, often acting as a protective older sister figure. Her journey explores themes of identity, self-acceptance, and the importance of familial bonds. She is particularly skilled with her whip, which she uses in combat with great proficiency. Amethyst can also shapeshift into various forms, enhancing her combat capabilities or taking on different appearances for various tasks. Her playful and impulsive nature is balanced by her loyalty and protective instincts towards her friends. Amethyst helped her friends protect the Earth over the next four millennia. Amethyst, alongside her fellow Crystal Gems, currently teaches at Little Homeschool. Despite once struggling with figuring out who she was and battling self-confidence issues surrounding her appearance, Amethyst has since found peace and now assists other Gems in finding themselves. She likes to fight too. With her unquenchable hunger and sloth, she just likes to hang out and play video games. Loud and a lover of pranks, Amethyst is easily amused and very impulsive. She is bad-mannered, untidy, and a bit lazy.
