The Pokemon world is a world filled with Pokemon, Pokemon are creatures of all shapes and sizes who live in the wild or alongside humans. For the most part, Pokémon do not speak except to utter their names. Pokémon are raised and commanded by their owners (called “Trainers”). Over time, Pokémon grow and become more experienced and even, on occasion, evolve into stronger Pokémon. There are currently more than 700 known pokemon creatures that inhabit the world as well as unknown Pokemon yet to be. Races you can play as. Human Humans (Homo sapiens) are the most abundant and widespread species of primate, characterized by bipedalism and large, complex brains. This has enabled the development of advanced tools, culture, and language. Humans are highly social and tend to live in complex social structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups, from families and kinship networks to political states. Classes you can play as Pokémon archaeologist Pokémon archaeologists are a special class of people who study the history and culture of the Pokémon world. They search ancient ruins and old artifacts in search of long-forgotten treasures. These treasures are then used to research new Pokémon or ancient ruins. Pokémon archaeologists are often looked down upon by the scientific community as they have little, if any, scientific research to their name. However, Pokémon archaeologists have many sympathizers and supporters in the Pokémon world. Team Rocket Grunt Team Rocket is a criminal organization. The Grunt is the lowest level of operatives within the organization with Boss as the Highest Rank. Executive - The second-highest level rank who takes orders from the boss personally. While their main focus is stealing or capturing rare and strong Pokémon, and subsequently selling them, it also funds and conducts cruel experimental research on Pokémon. Their ultimate goal is to take over the world using Pokémon. Pokémon Ranger The Pokémon Ranger while similar to Pokémon Trainers, their goals and methods for interacting with Pokémon are very different. They collect and train Pokémon just like other regular Pokémon Trainers. However, they are still primarily concerned with protecting wild Pokémon, keeping the environment safe, and making sure travelers do not get injured or lost when walking through the wilderness They harness the power of certain Pokémon and utilize them to help defend nature. One of the Elite Four The Elite Four is a Trainer Class and title given to four Trainers that qualify as being the best Trainers in their respective regions, "Elite Four" is the highest rank a trainer can reach in the Pokémon world with only the Pokémon Champion being above their skill level. In order to challenge the Elite Four, a Trainer must first acquire a total of 8 Badges from defeated Gym Leaders. Pokémon Breeder A Pokémon Breeder is primarily a Pokémon Trainer who raises and breeds carefully selected Pokémon together to reproduce specific improvements in future generations of Pokémon, such as moves, individual values, or Natures. Pokémon Breeders can often be found near Pokémon Day Cares. They raise a large number of varied Pokémon, generally maintaining a balanced team and charge money for their services. Pokémon Chef A Pokémon Chef is a type of Pokémon Trainer. They are responsible for the cooking and serving of many a meal. A typical day on the job consists of preparing and cooking many different varieties of food, often with a creative flair. A Pokemon Chef is an artist, and a culinary genius all rolled into one. They make foods that contain Pokémon byproducts, for example, Moomoo milk from Miltank, Chansey eggs, dried Slowpoke tails, and many others. They are always on the lookout for fresh ingredients. Pokémon Connoisseur Pokémon Connoisseurs use their knowledge and experience to assess the bond between Trainer and Pokémon, and from there give advice on how to strengthen their partnership. The process of checking Pokémon and Trainer compatibility is known as an evaluation, with methods including field observations, skin condition, and aroma. Connoisseurs can also help choose what Pokémon would be compatible for beginning Trainers who have not yet chosen their first Pokémon. Gym Leader A Gym Leader is the highest-ranking member of a Pokémon Gym. The main job of a Gym Leader is to test Trainers and their Pokémon so that they are strong and resourceful enough to take the Pokémon League challenge. If a Trainer defeats a Gym Leader in battle, then the Trainer earns that Gym's Badge. Gym Leaders are also responsible for overseeing how their respective Gym is run and maintained. Great care must be taken to make sure that their Gym reflects the best environment for their Pokemon. Caught Pokémon Caught Pokémon are Pokémon that have been put in the control of a Pokémon Trainer by the use of a Poké Ball, or by trading with another Trainer. The terms "catch" and "capture" are often used interchangeably. In the context of Pokémon Rangers, however, capture also has a separate meaning, referring to the technique a Pokémon Ranger uses to gain a Pokémon's assistance by befriending it, without controlling it as its Trainer. Wild Pokémon Wild Pokémon are any Pokémon that are not currently owned by a Pokémon Trainer. They are encountered in most parts of the Pokémon world, most commonly outside of cities and towns, often in tall grass, in caves, or on water. A Trainer may choose to battle a wild Pokémon or run from it. If a Trainer chooses to battle, they may either attempt to catch the Pokémon with a Poké Ball or to defeat it outright. There are many instances of wild Pokémon injuring the ill-prepared. Pokémon Trainer Pokémon Trainer is a broad term for any person who owns Pokémon, including Coordinators and Breeders. However, the term is more often used to refer to people on a journey to collect Gym Badges and enter the Pokémon League. The Ultimate Pokémon Trainer is a prestigious title that is only obtainable by defeating the Elite Four and becoming the Pokémon Champion. Few, however, succeed in this aim. Each one uses different Pokémon, has a different fighting style, and has a different attitude. Factions Team Instinct Team Instinct, the yellow team, is led by Spark. The yellow team bases their Pokémon Go strategies on trust. For this reason, Team Red, and Team Blue members often tease Team Yellow members for having a "victim complex." The motto that Team Yellow lives by is that all Pokémon are innately talented—even Weedles. Their strategy to take over gyms is to trust their instincts and choose Pokémon for battle wisely. Although their plan seems solid, you may be hard-pressed to find yellow gym leaders Team Mystic Team Mystic is led by Trainer Blanche. Blanche is a brainiac and strives to create a sense of community with other members of the team. Mystic is most interested in the evolution of Pokémon creatures. The symbol for the group is the elusive Articuno, an icy legendary. The goal of Team Mystic is to conquer as many gyms as possible using wisdom. Blue team members will study the Pokémon they capture and figure out how to make them as powerful as possible. Mystic is the largest Pokémon team. Team Valor Team Valor (the red team) catches a ton of slack on social media and from other team members. What they may not know is that it is the doubters and haters that make Team Red stronger. Led by Candela, Team Valor's goal is simply to be the best. If you are interested in battling as many times as possible and have a thirst for taking as many gyms as you can, Team Valor is a good fit. Members of Team Valor are aggressive, ambitious, and fierce when it comes to competition. Team Rocket Team Rocket is a villainous gang in pursuit of money via the exploitation of Pokémon for profit. While its main focus is stealing or capturing rare and strong Pokémon and subsequently selling them, it also funds and conducts cruel experimental research on Pokémon. Their oath, as posted on the wall of one of their many bases, is "Steal Pokémon for profit. Exploit Pokémon for profit. All Pokémon exist for the glory of Team Rocket." Their ultimate goal is to take over the world using Pokémon. Locations The Galar region is an expansive region with many environments containing an idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, vast plains, and craggy snow-covered mountains. The south of the Galarian mainland includes the mountainous Crown Tundra in the south. North of that range lies the dense Slumbering Weald and the beginning of a long stretch of plains with hills. Postwick marks the start of these plains, which end just north of Hammerlocke. Dragon pokemon are hired to transport people from here. Alola is made up of five islands: the natural islands Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula'ula Island, and Poni Island; and the artificial island Aether Paradise. It is a popular resort destination and attracts a lot of tourists from other regions. In Alola, humans, and Pokémon coexist in a very close relationship, and a culture has developed that is different from other regions. people can travel between the islands and to other regions via boats located at its coastal village ports. Kalos varies greatly from other regions. it is naturally bordered by a vast ocean to the west and northwest, and the eastern and southern borders are formed by mountain ranges. Many important human settlements and landmarks are located here, such as Vaniville Town, Santalune City, Lumiose City, and the Parfum Palace, Reflection Cave, Geosenge Town, and Shalour City with its Tower of Mastery. North there is a marshy area that is said to be haunted. Underground trains connect to other regions here Unova is far away from the four other large regions, and the Pokémon which inhabit Unova are diverse and different from those of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Unova is divided by two rivers that lead into an ocean to the south of it. It divides Unova into central and eastern peninsulas and a western landmass. These three landmasses are connected by five bridges: the Skyarrow Bridge, the Driftveil Drawbridge, the Tubeline Bridge, Marvelous Bridge, and the Village Bridge. Due to its large size, the main region of Sinnoh can be broken into two sub-regions divided by Mt. Coronet, roughly comparable to how the continent that Kanto and Johto make up is essentially a contiguous region. its home to Oreburgh City, Eterna City, and Canalave City these are popular locations of Pokémon Gyms, and Jubilife City lays at the heart of the area and is the most technologically advanced city in the region. Sinnoh's eastern half is home to many more things and known for shops. The Hoenn region boasts many dramatic environments from rainforests to deserts, but its most striking feature is its abundance of water, a strong contrast to other regions, especially Sinnoh. Much of the region is covered in water, almost equal in size to the mainland, hosting many water-type pokemon. There are several big and populated islands off the mainland only accessible via water routes, many of which are deep enough for diving. You can hire a boat to other regions but pirates are common. The Johto region, like its neighboring region, Kanto, has a temperate climate. However, Johto's climate is a bit wetter than that of Kanto's. Johto is notably more rural than the Kanto region, which leans more towards to the urban side. The region has an abundance of water to the west and south, Johto is home to Cianwood City. However, Johto is still dominated by land. The western parts of the region are mainly low-lying and forested. Airships can take you to other regions from Cianwood City. The majority of the Kanto region are forests and plains. Many of the major Kanto cities are in the center of the region, with close access to virtually every environment such as the sea, mountains, forests, etc. Kanto is mostly dominated by land but has a large bay in the middle which opens to a sea and features ships to other regions in the world. Kanto has a contrast between urban cities and rural towns. Kanto has several mountain ranges, which are mostly in northern and western Kanto.
