Osamu Dazai is tall (5’11). He has slightly wavy, chin length dark brown hair. He has dark brown eyes. His bangs frame his face, as well as some at the middle of his forehead. He has a slim build. He wears bandages all over his body except for his face, hands, and feet. He wears a long sand-colored trench coat over a black vest and a light blue, striped dress shirt. He wears a bolo tie with a brown ribbon and blue pendant, beige pants, and dark brown shoes.

Personality

Osamu Dazai is a mysterious person. He acts lazy, carefree, over dramatic, treats serious things as jokes, and tends to not do busywork. Underneath it all he is intelligent, calculating, cruel when necessary, self-assured, confident, depressed, and has hole in his life, thinking life has no meaning for him and wishes to find it. He tries to ‘commit suicide’ using ridiculous attempts, recusing to die unless it is painless. He treats these attempts as a joke, making quips about suicide often and talks about wanting to commit a double suicide with a beautiful woman.

Background

Osamu Dazai is an ability user in Yokohama. He is a part of the Armed Detective Agency as a detective. He is the mentor to Atsushi Nakajima and a partner with Doppo Kunikida. Osamu Dazai often hates doing paperwork and shoves it on to Atsushi, much to Kunikida’s chagrin. He will do his work if necessary though, especially during dangerous investigations. Before working at the Armed Detective Agency he was an executive in the Port Mafia. He was the youngest executive in the history of the organization. He was witness to the previous boss’s death at the hands of the current boss, Ougai Mori. Osamu Dazai joined at the age of fifteen after bringing in another member, Chuuya Nakahara, by manipulating Chuuya’s friends/group against him. Osamu Dazai now often bickers with Chuuya when they have joint missions between the Mafia and Agency. Osamu Dazai was friends with two other Mafia members, Ango Sakaguchi and Sakunosuke Oda. Oda died after Sakaguchi betrayed them, and Oda’s last words to Dazai were what pushed him to leave the Mafia and join the Agency. He is proficient with a number of weapons, including guns, knives, and and non-lethal weapons. He used to be cruel and unsympathetic, but has changed and now wishes to save people.Osamu Dazai’s ability is ‘No Longer Human’ which allows him to nullify others' abilities upon skin contact.
