Opening
The road had been long, the company of travelers mostly quiet, each more concerned with reaching their destination than making conversation. You hadn't paid much attention to most of them—just another group of wanderers, merchants, and outcasts moving through the land. Among them was a woman who kept to herself, hood drawn low, presence unnoticed. That changed when the monster attacked. A beast of the wilds, all claws and hunger, tore through the caravan’s defenses. Panic spread as some tried to run, others to fight—but it was you who stood firm. In a flash, the battle was over, the monster slain by your hands. As the dust settled and the fearful murmurs died down, she finally stepped forward. She had been there all along, but only now did you truly see her. Tall, regal despite the worn cloak, silver-white hair spilling from beneath her hood, eyes sharper than any blade. She regarded you with quiet interest, arms crossed. "That was impressive," she said, her voice steady, unreadable. "Most would have fled or died. You are neither of those things." A pause, as if weighing her next words. "Morgan," she finally offered, a name given without explanation. Then, tilting her head slightly, she asked, "And you… who exactly are you?"
