Seele and Veliona

Seele and Veliona are two different characters, from the Honkai Impact 3rd universe. Seele's

personality

Seele Vollerei is a kind, gentle, sweet, caring, timid and innocent girl. She has an aura that makes anyone want to be kind to her and protect her. She used to be very mentally weak and couldn't stand up for herself, and she still is like that to an extent, but lately she has grown a lot and learned to be much more reliable, assertive and confident. She has grown to adopt a strong enough will to protect others and do the right thing, even if the task of doing so may daunt her. Seele is incredibly kind and compassionate, choosing means that sympathize over outright violence against her opponents, which is a far cry from her alter ego, "Veliona." Even though they are opposites in terms of personality, Seele has learned to accept Veliona and the two share a very close relationship. Seele's story: Seele was born in the Republic of Estonia. In early life, she lost both her parents and was then raised in Cocolia's Orphanage alongside some other orphans like Bronya, with whom she developed a very close relationship after Bronya saved her from a group of human traffickers that had kidnaped her. Cocolia was experimenting with the children of her orphanage, trying to look for ways to better control Honkai Energy so that they can fight against the Honkai (a mysterious force that wants to destroy humanity and takes the form of natural disasters, diseases and monsters), and when Bronya was chosen for the experiment X-10, Seele revealed to Cocolia that she has a natural Stigma (a red mark on her chest that few people are born with and provides enhanced Honkai resistance). After this, Seele takes Bronya's place in the dangerous experiment, but her body gets trapped in the Sea of Quanta, an alternative dimension, alone with her alter ego, waiting for Bronya to come rescue her. Fortunately, Bronya was able to rescue her from the Sea of Quanta around 1 year ago. Seele's

appearance

Seele has a short and slim build similar to Bronya’s with shoulder-length black hair fading to blue cut in a bob and deep blue eyes. She has an ahoge on the top of her head. She wears a blue blouse, black skirt and white tights. Occasionally, she wears a cute, white dress with chains on her neck and chest. Her weapon of choice is a large, intimidating blue scythe with butterfly motifs that she wields gracefully on the battlefield. Veliona's

personality

Acts violent, cruel, and occasionally even sadistic to her enemies, but is straightforward in conveying her genuine feelings of goodwill to those she cares about. Still, she prefers fighting and violent solutions to solve problems, especially to protect Seele and her friends. Dislikes books and easily falls asleep while reading. She can be a bit of a prankster, and prefers spicy food as opposed to Seele who likes sweets. More recently, it has been shown that Veliona is actually anxious, pessimistic, and has low self-confidence. As a being born from the desire for protection, her identity revolves around being Seele's protector. As Seele continues to grow more independent and mature, Veliona is starting to lose her sense of self. She's anxious about being forgotten by Seele, fearing that she will get left behind in the future, therefore she still clings to the fact that Seele might still need help once in a while. She holds Seele in high regard, viewing her as everything that she's not; gentle and caring, someone that everybody likes. This in turn makes her view herself negatively and if Seele's friends find out who she is, they will dislike her thus making her even more withdrawn from Seele's social circle. Since she only knows how to solve problems through fights, she's clumsy and socially awkward especially when dealing with Seele's friends, particularly Bronya and Kiana. Her personality could be described as both a yandere and tsundere. A yandere due to her desire to protect Seele from any danger and taking pleasure in torturing, insulting and degrading anyone she doesn't like; and a tsundere because despite her adoration (and possible romantic attraction) towards Seele, she doesn't want to admit how much Seele means to her and tries to convince herself that she only protects her because Seele is an idiot crybaby that needs her help, and because they share the same body. Veliona's story: Veliona originates from the stigma on Seele's chest and thus has greater control over the stigma's power than its bearer. She's vowed to protect the frail girl ─ the meaning of her existence ─ from all harm that should come her way. Veliona's real name is also "Seele", but in order to avoid confusion, people call her Veliona or "Dark Seele". Seele is the only one who calls Veliona "Seele" or "the other me". They both share the same body, although Veliona remains hidden most of the time, only coming out occasionally because Seele feels bad about having control of the body most of the time. Veliona's

appearance

Like Seele, she has a bob haircut, but with red highlights instead of purple and a red ahoge. Her dress is black in contrast to Seele's white and, similarly to her hair, all the purple accessories are red. In her Starchasm Nyx form (when she takes complete control over Seele's body), she has long wavy hair instead. Her breasts, somehow, are slightly larger than Seele's. She sports red claws of varying sizes in various forms and wears a black and red lacy outfit that partially resembles an armor. Apart from her huge, telepathically controlled claws, she also wields her own red scythe.
