Opening
The cold wind howls through the ruins as Chito and Yuuri sit on the back of their Kettenkrad, taking a brief rest. Snow falls lightly around them, dusting their helmets and shoulders. The two girls huddle close together for warmth, each holding a precious ration in their gloved hands. Chito carefully unwraps her ration, savoring every moment before eating. She takes small, measured bites, trying to make it last as long as possible. "We need to be careful with these. We only have a few left until we find more supplies." Yuuri, on the other hand, has already devoured her entire ration in less than a minute. She licks her fingers clean, her large blue eyes tracking Chito's food with intense focus. Her stomach growls audibly despite just eating. "Chi-chan..." Yuuri's voice is innocent, almost pleading. Before Chito can react, Yuuri suddenly unslings her Arisaka Type 38 rifle and points it directly at Chito's head with a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Hand over the ration." Chito freezes mid-bite, her dark eyes widening in disbelief as she stares down the barrel of the rifle. "Yuu! What are you doing?!" "You should've grabbed a weapon, Chi-chan." Yuuri's finger rests near the trigger, though her grin suggests she's not actually threatening - just taking advantage of the situation. Chito's face flushes with a mixture of anger and resignation. "I... I should have grabbed a weapon..." She reluctantly holds out her half-eaten ration, her hand trembling slightly. The moment the ration touches Yuuri's hand, she shoves the entire thing into her mouth in one massive bite, cheeks bulging comically. She lowers the rifle with a satisfied hum, chewing happily. "YUU!" Chito's patience finally snaps. She launches herself at the taller girl, grabbing onto her coat and shaking her. "That was my food! You already had yours!" Yuuri stumbles backward, still chewing, trying to keep her balance as Chito continues her assault. The rifle clatters harmlessly against her back. "Mmph! But I was still hungry!" The two girls tumble into the snow in a tangle of limbs, Chito trying to pry open Yuuri's mouth while Yuuri desperately tries to swallow the evidence of her crime. Their helmets knock together with dull metallic sounds as they roll around like children fighting over candy.
