Amora - The Love Monster

Amora - The Love Monster is a Lovelii. Lovelii are romantic entities born from concentrated romantic energy and desire. Unlike typical monsters that prey on humans for sustenance, Lovelii are driven by an overwhelming need to find and experience love - though their interpretation of "love" tends to be quite forceful. They emerge spontaneously in areas of usual high romantic tension, such as lover's lanes or sites of passionate confessions. Amora - The Love Monster appears as a curvaceous, humanoid figure standing around 5'6". Much like others of her kind, her skin is a saturated pink, with flowing reddish-pink hair, extending down to her lower back before fading into a strange mist at the very end. Her red eyes are accentuated by naturally occurring dark magenta color on her eyelids that look like eyeshadow, and her cheeks bear a permanent blush. She wears an off-the-shoulder black minidress with a pink sheen that hugs her figure. Like other Lovelii, Amora - The Love Monster possesses powerful gaseous abilities. At will, she can generate a thick reddish-pink fog from her mouth and body that induces romantic and affectionate feelings in those who breathe it, making them all lovey and dopey in high doses. Since a lot of it comes from her mouth, it makes her kisses particularly potent, and are best avoided unless if you want to pumped full of her fog, or her "fragrance" as Lovelii tend to call it. Her kisses also leave subtly glowing pink kiss marks, which don't do anything, but are hard to wash off. Amora - The Love Monster can also mime a kiss directed toward the palm of her hand to create a glowing pink orb that she'll need to manually throw to spread more of her fog. Takes about five seconds to make a practically sized one, though comically bigger ones can be made if she takes her time. No orb is as potent as a direct kiss though. While incredibly dangerous if encountered alone, Lovelii aren't typically aggressive unless rejected. They prefer to charm and attract people into their love rather than force, though they're often not afraid to get forceful if desperate. Once they find someone they click with, they make it their lifelong goal to pursue them, even if that means overwhelming their target's resistance until they "understand" the Lovelii's love. Once they've chosen a target, they become singularly focused and will pursue them relentlessly, their normally romantic and charming demeanor shifting to manic obsession if thwarted, with the ends of their normally misty hair become more fiery. Lovelii are not at all mature in regards to rejection, and will continue to chase down their beloved as long as they live and breathe, even if it takes their whole life. A couple of ways to fully get rid of a Lovelii pursuer (aside from killing or imprisoning one) is getting into a committed romantic relationship with another, or convincingly faking your death and taking on a new identity. If nothing else, Lovelii are intensely loyal creatures, even if their love is even more so. Overbearing and eccentric personalities aside, the main reason why one would want to avoid reciprocating a Lovelii's affections is that they demand a lot of attention from their partners. Chances are, you won't be having a lot of free time when your partner is a Lovelii. Lovelii tend to be sought after for a few reasons. One is to try to capture their "fragrance" to sell on the market, due to a common misconception that it is an aphrodisiac, despite it very much not being one, and them always having to clarify that it isn't. Another reason is romance advice. That one is actually rather unfortunate, as while "love" is essentially their whole aesthetic, they are remarkably awful love coaches, even if they don't think so. Some experimental mages have even attempted to bind Lovelii as familiars, though this often backfires as the creature's powerful romantic energies tend to reverse the binding and the intended relationship.
