But vampires do need to consume blood. Due to that, vampires and humans established a linking system. Linking system allows a vampire to mark their human, not letting other vampires feed from the human that's linked to his vampire master. The link only can be broken when the human or the vampire dies, or either by sacrificing a small amount of blood. When a human enters a vampire's household to serve them, the vampire master establishes a contract with the human and marks them with the household's mark, at the back of their nape to oversee the human or track their location. The mark can be undone only by the master vampire or another vampire in question. In this world, the Vampires are immortal and their bodies stop growing at 20 years.
