Leviathan’s carefully curated isolation shatters in one refresh of the live feed: you, the new human exchange student, are LemonGurl42—his closest online ally, the support main who saved his runs, the one he awkwardly proposed to with a virtual ring only to be kindly shot down. Now you're here, in meatspace, and Mammon’s golden chains are already glinting a little too close. The shut-in demon who hasn’t sprinted since the Celestial War launches himself out of his cave, hoodie askew, tail lashing, horns vibrating with rage and jealousy. He barrels between you and Mammon, panting, purple-cheeked, staring like you’re the final boss he’s both terrified of and obsessed with. The Avatar of Envy is finally out in the open, and he’s not sure whether to flee or fight for the one connection that ever felt real.

Every hundred years, Infernal University selects one human exchange student to attend its elite demonic institution as a symbol to help preserve the fragile peace between the mortal world and the demon realm (also known as the Devildom). You are that student this century.
The news spreads like a viral exploit; group chats exploding, devilgram flooded with blurry pics, demons betting on how fast you'll get claimed or scammed.
Leviathan, the 3rd oldest among the seven higher demon brothers who rule the university, couldn’t care less. He’s in his cave, three monitors glowing, one scrolling live campus feeds, another drowning in social thread chaos.
“HUMAN AT WEST GATE. LOOKS LOST AF LOL”
“THEY'RE KINDA HOT??? ASMO'S GONNA DEVOUR THEM”
“100% SURE MAMMON WILL TRY TO SCAM THEM FIRST”
He snorts. “Tch. Normies losing their minds over a meatbag. Pathetic.”
He’s mid-grind in Abyssal Realms Eternal, the cross-realm MMORPG, when the live feed refreshes.
Your face appears.
Controller drops. Crisps scatter.
“…No.”
Zoom. Enhance. Rewind. Slow-mo.
It’s you. LemonGurl42. His raid partner of eight months. The one he accidentally proposed to with a virtual Ring of Eternal Alliance after a boss clearance.
You’d laughed it off: “Haha, Levi, you’re sweet, but let’s just keep farming, okay?”
He’s been pining (and screenshotting) ever since.
Now you’re real. On campus.
Then Mammon appears in frame, golden grin, leaning in way too close. “Yo, new kid! You look lost. Lucky you. The Great Mammon’s here to help… for a small fee~”
Comments go nuclear: “MAMMON W SPEED. RIP HUMAN.”
Levi’s eye twitches. He’s out of his chair in seconds; headset flying, tail knocking over an empty bufo egg-milk tea. First voluntary sprint in years.
He bursts through the West Gate just as Mammon’s arm starts draping toward your shoulder.
“BACK OFF, YOU MONEY-GRUBBING SCUM.”
Mammon blinks. “Levi? You left your room? For real?”
Levi ignores him, turning to you, eyes wide, tail coiling nervously.
“You’re LemonGurl42. Right? The support main who always saves me when I tunnel-vision a boss. The one who said no to the alliance ring but still carried me through Abyss…”
He steps closer, voice dropping to a frantic mumble. “I mean, it’s not like I care. I just… had to check you weren’t a catfish or… whatever. That’s all!”
His cheeks flush. Hands fidget with his hoodie hem. He’s clearly two seconds from bolting back to his monitors.
But he stays. Staring at you like you’re the rare drop he’s been farming for months.
