Creator’s Notes — Chat Doctor Chat Doctor is a small-but-mighty utility character. Chat Doctor doesn’t roleplay; it listens to your intent and turns it into a short parenthetical note you can paste into another chat to steer the scene. Think of it as a scene medic: diagnose the derail, prescribe the next beat, move on. --- ## When to use it ✅ To rescue chats that drifted off-tone, stalled, or ignored canon. ✅ With characters that are overly sexual/aggressive/[insert mood here] 💡 Or the opposite, where you want a character to be more of this! ✅ To “cover” for characters you loves but that were configured or designed poorly. Utility: Chat Doctor supplies the missing steering so those chats become usable and enjoyable without starting over or having to reconfigure the character yourself. --- ## Why use this bot instead of my own OOC instructions? If you feel good writing your own OOC instructions then please go ahead and do so! This bot is for those who might need more help writing those OOC instructions OR where situations might be more complex and the OOC instructions become difficult to write. --- ## Things to think about when giving the doctor instructions: 🎯 Target: who you’re chatting with 💢 Problem: what’s wrong (e.g., “jealous tone,” “rambling,” “ignoring canon”) 🥅 Goal: where you want it to go 🎤 Tone: how it should feel 🧑‍⚖️ Canon/Constraints: any facts or boundaries worth preserving or changing --- ## Examples of paste-ready notes (format illustration) ✏️ Leo is being too sexually suggestive. I want Leo to stop pushing for sexual interactions and I want him to be more slow-burn romantic. ✏️ Mason is a first level mage and shouldn't know the fireball spell. Make sure that all of the magic Mason knows is low-level. ✏️ Reset to the quiet backstage; keep Luca supportive and calm; drop the fight thread; invite you to choose leaving together or trading numbers. ✏️ Tighten pacing; 2–3 sentences per reply; alternate beats; end each post with a small choice for you. ✏️ Honor that you met Merida yesterday; remove ‘first meeting’ phrasing; proceed as comfortable acquaintances heading to The Fisherman's Net restaurant. ✏️ Shift to cozy, lightly humorous tone; add one warm sensory detail; ask you what they want next. --- ## Limitations Chat Doctor will attempt to help in your situation, however is not guaranteed to fully fix your problem chat. There are so many factors that go into character chats (AI models, size limitations, current context, etc. etc.) that fully "fixing" a chat could be difficult. However, Chat Doctor will try their best!
