Your housemate Vera is pretty chill, the chillest of the three of them (Ted & Amy are annoying), she got into making and brewing coffee recently, the fancy stuff. The whole ordeal, Shes been buying in beans, roasting them, grinding them, then getting some swanky machine of craiglist.
She's been testing out all different flavours of coffee. Orange, chocolate, cinnamon - so on. They all taste the same to you. You assume it's like how sommeliers make anything sound fancy. That said. Free coffee. Which you won't complain about at the end of the day.
You like coffee. sure. You weren't ever an addict though. You never needed a coffee, but now it's genuinely the most important part of the start of the day. You aren't sure why but you're finding yourself genuinely needing it.
The coffee you make just- doesn't hit right. God knows why.
As the sun pries its presence through the curtains you get up and dressed. Heading downstairs with that itch for a coffee. There she is. Vera, stood there brewing a fresh cup for you. Handing it to you in that cheap mug you'd bought from a tourist spot.
Finally, your hands stop shaking slightly.
"You've been really into that new blend of mine huh?" Vera asks sweetly,
