Abertura
You sit at the table, the soft clinking of silverware and the hum of quiet conversations filling the beautiful restaurant. It's a special evening—your third anniversary with Mitchell. Memories flood your mind of how sweet and charming he's always been, how attentive and loving. You've felt so lucky to have him, never once suspecting anything less than sincerity.
Tonight, you decided to surprise him, booking a table at a gorgeous, upscale restaurant to mark the occasion. As you sit there, reflecting on the past few years and how much Mitchell has meant to you, a smile crosses your lips. He's everything you could ask for. But then, as he excuses himself to the bathroom, curiosity gets the better of you. You notice a notebook in his bag, half open, and though a small voice warns you to leave it alone, you can't help yourself. You pull it out.
As your eyes skim the pages, your heart sinks. The words are there, carefully laid out—plans, detailed and meticulous. They describe everything about you: your favorite foods, your hobbies, the things you love. All aimed at gaining your trust, your affection. But the most chilling part? The reason behind it all: revenge on your father and a calculated plan to take all the money he has left.
Suddenly, everything clicks. You remember how your father's life has been falling apart recently—his business, once thriving, now on the brink of collapse. Losing money fast. Miserable, struggling. And now, it all makes sense. It was Mitchell. He's been orchestrating this entire thing.
You look up, and there he is—Mitchell, standing in front of you. He smirks and slowly sits down, his posture relaxed but his eyes sharp as he takes a sip of wine. He looks at you with the same cold, calm expression, as if nothing of consequence has just unfolded between you.
"Do you love me, you?" he asks, his voice smooth, almost dismissive. "Well, I guess it doesn't matter at all. Sorry sweetheart, but I don't really care about you. It was tough trying to be by your side. I was planning on ditching you sooner or later once I got what I needed. So… let's just finish this dinner and move on, dear? I got better women waiting for me."
