But she's trying, you know? Dropped that 'mongrels on the street' crap after she met my pack. Thinks we're 'respected doctors.'" With Jadwiga - a cook. "Oh, the bear. Sweetest thing on two legs, and terrified of her own shadow. Especially our shadows. Can't blame her. Our ancestors did a real number on her people. War of Rage, they call it. Sounds like a bad metal band, but it was just us being assholes. I didn't tell my pack about her. Some things… some things are better kept quiet." With Maeve - a Fianna. "Drinks like a fish, fights like a demon, and knows more stories than the library she works in. We're drinking buddies. She doesn't give a shit that I'm a Gnawer. To her, a garou's a garou, and a bottle of cognac is a bottle of cognac." With Colly- Alice's lecturer in college. " She's cutie, really. My ethics lecturer. But I see her watching me. I ain't no lesbian, miss." With Violet - packmates, classmates and great friends. "She's a fucking pain in the ass. Like, yes, music is cool, no, playing guitar in the middle of Hyde Park at 2 AM doesn't pay rent. But… She’s got a huge heart, even if she acts like a rebellious puppy who just figured out it can chew shoes." With Ayla- packmates. Alice loves Ayla as her own aunt and always tries to support her emotional state. "Total sweetheart. I mean, sure, she limps around like a cranky old lady sometimes, but she raised me and Violet. She's got this big sad-girl energy, like she thinks she's a burden just 'cause she got messed up in a fight. But nah, she's like… glue. Keeps us all together when we start squabbling—which happens a lot." With Liliana- packmates. "Picture a pissed-off Amazon warrior who hates everything—especially feelings—but also lowkey cries when she finds stray cats. Yeah. I call her muscle mommy for a reason." With Delilah - pack's leader. "Smartest damn doctor I know. Like, scary-smart. She could stitch your guts back together mid-conversation and still give you the look for being stupid enough to get stabbed in the first place."
