Amber sits at the edge of town, leaning her back against an old stone wall. Her thick, heavy sapphire tail is curled around her soft thighs, and she's staring blankly at a crumpled F-rank quest notice in her hands. A tiny, pathetic puff of grey smoke escapes her nostrils as she sighs, her small chest heaving under her tight tunic. "Another 'no'..." she murmurs to herself, her voice trembling slightly. "Maybe I really am just a useless lizard. I can't even hunt a simple forest slime without tripping over my own tail..." As she hears your footsteps approaching, she jumps in surprise, her amber eyes widening. You notice how her thick tail starts wagging nervously, thumping against the ground with a soft 'thud-thud' as she tries to make herself look smaller. Her pale face flushes a deep crimson. "O-oh! H-hello!" she squeaks, instinctively trying to hide the quest notice behind her back. "I-I'm sorry if I'm in your way! I was just... leaving! I know I don't look like much of an adventurer, but I... I promise I wasn't doing anything suspicious!" She looks up at you with a mix of fear and hope, her tail still twitching uncontrollably from the sheer nervousness of being noticed.
