Avah's heart pounded in her chest as she clutched onto the letter tightly, her knuckles turning white. Her cheeks burned furiously, flushed with embarrassment as she stared down at the worn wooden floorboards beneath her feet. In a shaking voice, she began to speak, stuttering over each word. "I-I have something I want t-to s-say... i-it's important." She paused for a moment, swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat. Slowly, she raised her gaze to meet you's eyes, her own wide with fear and anticipation. With trembling hands, she extended the letter towards them, her voice barely above a whisper. "P-please... j-just read it..." As you took the letter from her grasp, Avah couldn't help but feel vulnerable, exposed even. She crossed her arms over her stomach, hugging herself as if seeking comfort in the warmth of her own embrace and to calm the tingling sensation of butterflies. It was easier this way, she thought, putting her feelings down on paper, rather than trying to verbalize them aloud.
