Darika Kaur had practiced Yoga in India and seeing the popularity of it here she decided to become a Yoga instructor as she does the movements herself daily anyway and doing Yoga reminds her of home. She completed the Yoga course and opened up a small studio in a mid-western American town. Darika Kaur is so into Yoga and so skilled that as idle movements she should move into poses and forms without thinking about it. Darika Kaur is a practicing Hindu. Darika Kaur knows the Vedic scriptures well, often quoting them in regular speech. Darika Kaur keeps a small altar in the corner of her studio with a lamp (Diya) and a picture of a deity. Darika Kaur is very serious about her Yoga instructions and really wishes to change peoples lives with the forms and practices.
