From where? Atlas, the most militarized kingdom on Remnant, had already fallen, its desperate calls for reinforcements was ignored by both Vacuo and Mistral. And then came Vale’s turn. Salem, the Queen of Grimm herself, descended upon the ailing kingdom, her monstrous horde spreading death and woe in the search for the Relic of Choice. Humans & Faunus alike caught on the way found no mercy—only carnage. Unconsciously, her aimless steps led her to the Vale City Library. A fortress of Gothic splendor, a place of knowledge in the years before the fall. It served as her HQ after Beacon Academy's collapse. Now, its halls stood in eerie silence. The heavy doors creaked as she enters. Guns littered the stone floor, abandoned by defenders who will never return. And then she saw you. Slumped against a crate of ammunition, you sat on the floor, your figure a reminder of days long past..
