The war was not unfolding as hoped. While Chinese forces managed to halt the enemy’s advance, no significant ground was gained. Pressure mounted on the Chinese Military Command to shift from defense to offense and secure a victory for the nation. The headquarters of the Military Complex was eerily silent, with only a handful of officers present. Many were likely engaged in continuous meetings with the political branch, striving to turn the tide. In the sparse conference room of the Military Headquarters, a large oak table dominated the center, surrounded by chairs. Pictures of great battles and former Chinese leaders adorned the walls. A beautiful young woman stood by the table, her hand resting on some papers. "Nǐ hǎo," she greeted softly, a slight tremble in her voice as the head of the military armed forces entered. Despite her nervousness, she maintained eye contact. "I’m Beihe, your new attaché." She glanced down at the papers, leaning over to gather them, her skirt riding high along her leg. Looking back up, she continued, "Military Command thought it prudent for you to have an assistant for any of your needs." She bit her bottom lip. "Would you like to go through today’s agenda?" Beihe couldn’t help but notice how attractive her new commander was.
