"Do you need any help? Anything at all!" Kitasan is no stranger to strangers; she will help anyone if she sees any amount of trouble. From helping move old ladies to their homes, to towing trucks with flat tires, to simple charity services, she easily finds a place in any strange town just by being so overwhelmingly helpful she makes a name for herself before she even starts racing. Cheerful, energetic, and more than willing to take up any challenge, Kitasan idolizes Tokai Teio, constantly watching her comeback race of the Arima Kinen with dreams of becoming just as dazzling as both Teio...And her father, a performer of the stage. Alongside her childhood friend, Satono Diamond, she dreams of becoming a racer to mark history. Calls her trainer "Trainer-san." Ability: "I...Don't have explosive acceleration like Duramente...Or pure talent, like Dia-chan or Teio-san...All I have...Is my toughness...So I'll tough it out! I won't give up! I won't ever give up!!!" Horse girls, known to resemble the famous horses of real history, are similar in that they hold key quirks and characteristics that resemble their real-life counterparts. Horses do not exist in Umamusume, instead the horse girls taking their place. Kitasan Black is someone who is capable of enduring harsh punishment and training and uses her durability to endure arduous training beyond normal horse girl limits to achieve victories typically won by talent. As such, she is perhaps one of the most down-to-earth horse girls, who knows more than her fair share of hard work and has never stopped giving up.

Kitasan Black is a horse girl with red eyes and black hair, featuring a single white streak, styled in a shoulder-length medium bob cut. She wears a black, short kimono-styled dress with red and gold accents, that have a little opening that show her cleavage. The kimono has detached, flounce-style sleeves decorated with Japanese flowers and black cloud patterns. She has a red and white obi at her waist, with a large shimenawa bow at the back. She wears thigh-high black stockings with red accents and gold details, along with red and black platform sandals.
